Sip & Savor: Zitto Makes For a Memorable Night Out in Nice, France
Zitto Speakeasy in Nice, France, offers a unique and immersive experience for those seeking an extra special night out that’s reminiscent of the taste speakeasy from the Roaring Twenties. Hidden in the port of Nice, this gem takes guests on a journey back in time to the era of Prohibition.
Wander around the port until you find Gigi Tavolo. Once inside you go past the bar and you’ll find Zitto concealed behind a discreet entrance in the back. The space captures the essence of a classic speakeasy with its dimly lit ambiance, vintage and funky decor, and a killer playlist to add to the atmosphere. The setting is intimate providing a perfect backdrop for socializing, a cozy nook for a date or to come and relax while you enjoy the delicious cocktails and conversations with the bartender.
Zitto boasts a carefully crafted cocktail menu created by mixologist Guillaume, featuring a variety of signature drinks with housemate mixers, syrups and accoutrements. The evening that I was at Zitto it was very quiet, maybe only three other tables were occupied. It gave me the opportunity to really talk through the menu with Guillaume and explore what would work for my tastebuds. I put my trust into his hands and he even put together an off-menu cocktail based off a base liquor that I enjoy and was extra special as it came with three candies that changed the flavor of the cocktail as you drink it. How cool is that?!

• A Spell On You – Caol Ila, Absinthe, Oléo, Saccarhum à l’orange and orange bitter
• A Guillame Personalized Creation – Yellow chartreuse and housemade candies of Limoncello, Absinthe and Aperol
• Castagnaccio – Cognac VSOP Rémy Martin, Liqueur de vanille, crème, crème de châtaigne and tuille sucre vanille pailletée
I am so glad I stumbled onto this gem during my journey in the Mediterranean. My conversation with Guillaume reminded me of why I enjoy France so much and am grateful for his hospitality. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur, or someone looking for a distinctive night out in Nice, Zitto offers an enchanting escape where you’ll be delighted by every sip.
